Flying Rockets 2008

Me and my friend Zoe were picked to represent our class at the 2008 Science Olympics. We were making paper rockets and ours made it the farthest in class. We got to compete with other second graders from North Kitsap. Needless to say we did not shoot ours the farthest that night, but we were still proud. We even got a ribbon!

Here is the line-up. Sophia came in 12th place, Isabelle came in 14th, and Nolan in 15th. They are very proud.

Wheeling them to the Nursery!

Here they are working hard to deliver them to the contest! Tom was also a big help in lifting these big, big, big, big pumpkins.

Nolan's Strange-Shaped Pumpkin

Nolan's pumpkin looks like it had a belt synched around it. He worked hard watering it all summer and it is now weighing 431bs.

Sophia's Huge Pumpkin

All we heard all summer was, "my pumpkin big". Sophia's pumpkin started out as the smallest but as of today it is a wopping 84lbs! She is very proud. She is in 12th place out of 32 at the Valley Nursery Weigh Off.

Isabelle's Pumpkin

Here is Isabelle before cutting her pumpkin. She is guessing it weighs 23lbs.....
