This was the first Thanksgiving we have ever hosted. Mom and Dad were away in Charleston with Scott and Lara's family. We missed being with mom and dad as well as Tom's family but needless to say we had lots of fun and good food. Mike and Andrea came over from Spokane and R&R's family as well. It is hard to believe that Dana and Hannah are joining the adult table now.

A LeRoy Thanksgiving Tradition

Oh, the traditional cranberry jello salad. What can we say. We always have it and joke about who really likes it. But you know how traditions are. There are a few in the family who think it is amazing. Needless to say, mom and dad are in Charleston, SC for Thanksgiving this year and we took on the grinding. It was really fun and the kids thought it was great making it. Maybe it isn't about the jello, but about the experience making it.

Sleepover

This is Kylie our neighbor enjoying a movie with Sophia and Nolan on our bed while Isabelle's party was going on downstairs. That night when Tom and I went to bed their was a spot glowing on our bed. One of the glow sticks we gave them leaked all over our bed....nich huh?

Isabelle turns 8!

Isabelle had a fun birthday weekend with friends and family and school celebrations! She started her day with a tray breakfast from mommy with hot cocoa and french toast. Below is her dancing with her new ipod. A birthday is also never complete without kisses from cousins and something sweet to eat.

Halloween 2008

The Giraffe, Dorothy and Harley Dude! We had a fun Halloween and held out until 7:30 until Tom got home to go trick or treating with us. I think the kids had more thrill out of answering the door that night!

The Sleepover

Isabelle, Cousin Jacob and Cousin Jonah had a big kid sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa LeRoys. They have so much fun playing games, eating junk food and watching movies, and of course just being silly.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

This is the prized possession in our house. Nolan this summer took it upon himself to teach Sophia how to drive the tractor. It was very cute and she had complete trust in Nolan.

Oh boy, what can we say. Sophia is definately our fearless one. Thank goodness for the helmet. We have tried to explain the need for a driver's license but she just gives us that smile.

Isabelle is just loving soccer ! This has been her first season and has proven to be something she really loves. Her favorite position is goal keeper. It surprises us, but boy is she good at it. It has been fun seeing her change and grow throughout the season. Of course we can't leave out the amazing cheering committee, Sophia and Nolan. They come to the games to cheer (or play in the dirt on the hill) and are always so enthusiastic about it.

Flying Rockets 2008

Me and my friend Zoe were picked to represent our class at the 2008 Science Olympics. We were making paper rockets and ours made it the farthest in class. We got to compete with other second graders from North Kitsap. Needless to say we did not shoot ours the farthest that night, but we were still proud. We even got a ribbon!

Here is the line-up. Sophia came in 12th place, Isabelle came in 14th, and Nolan in 15th. They are very proud.

Wheeling them to the Nursery!

Here they are working hard to deliver them to the contest! Tom was also a big help in lifting these big, big, big, big pumpkins.

Nolan's Strange-Shaped Pumpkin

Nolan's pumpkin looks like it had a belt synched around it. He worked hard watering it all summer and it is now weighing 431bs.

Sophia's Huge Pumpkin

All we heard all summer was, "my pumpkin big". Sophia's pumpkin started out as the smallest but as of today it is a wopping 84lbs! She is very proud. She is in 12th place out of 32 at the Valley Nursery Weigh Off.

Isabelle's Pumpkin

Here is Isabelle before cutting her pumpkin. She is guessing it weighs 23lbs.....
